CNN goes inside Jackie Chan’s den!

(CNN) — Jackie Chan: A-list Asian megastar, iconic kung fu hero to millions and basically a really famous guy. We had been pursuing an in-depth interview with him for months through “JC Entertainment,” Jackie’s all-conquering management company.
Schedules conflicted, dates came and went – then finally a breakthrough. He was setting aside an afternoon in between a dizzying array of international commitments. Better still, we would be filming in Jackie’s Hong Kong den — his main office which is home to a private “museum” of memorabilia and awards collected over the years.

CNN’s TalkAsia interview with Jackie Chan airs April 12 & 13 across Asia, and we’re hoping soon thereafter on the intertubes!

Forbidden Kingdom special screening in Vermont!

WCAX-TV in Vermont covered the special screening of The Forbidden Kingdom with screenwriter John Fusco and cast-member Morgan Benoit in attendance.
“When Jackie Chan was reading the script and said, ‘Shon dong black tiger? How did you learn about that? How did you know about “praying mantis?” Where did you learn about “flying lohan?”‘ I said, ‘In Vermont,’” Fusco said. “And he said, ‘No, no, Vermont’s (all about) maple syrup, not kung fu!’”
The writer proved Jackie Chan wrong about that, and had backup in doing so from another Vermont talent. Essex High School graduate, Morgan Benoit, now works in Los Angeles as an actor. Like Fusco, he also studied at the Vermont Kung Fu Academy, and credits that experience with changing his life.

The video shows some footage we’ve seen in bits and pieces in the trailer, and some totally new imagery, but it’s great to hear what Li Bingbing sounds like in anticipation of her performance as The Forbidden Kingdom’s fierce assassin.
