The Forbidden Kingdom will be on DVD and Blu-ray September 9, 2008. It will be sold on one-disc and two-disc special editions. The one-disc edition will have no extras but will contain widescreen and full screen presentations on the single disc. The two-disc special edition will include a commentary by director Rob Minkoff, deleted scenes with commentary, featurettes (The Kung Fu Dream Team, Dangerous Beauty, Discovering China, Filming in Chinawood, and Monkey King and the Eight Immortals), a Previsualization Featurette with commentary by director Rob Minkoff, a blooper reel, and a digital copy for iTunes/Apple/Quicktime, and for Windows Media. A Blu-ray two-disc special edition will also be sold with identical features of the two-disc special edition.

None of us can wait, though I myself have given the above note to Sir Silent Monkeys, I have made sure and the relaes to DVD & Blu Ray has been confirmed for 9th Sept of this year! Mark your calanders!!
I personally am now on the preorder list for the 2disc special edition for normal DVD as I’m so broke to even think about getting a PS3 just drains my money pouch…..

Though I now wonder, wha, or rather who… is the Dangerous Beauty featrette about/for? Or do we even have to guess? The blooper reel I’m looking forwards too as well as everything else on my DCDPA! Can’t wait can’t wait can’t wait! I know I sound like a school girl but still SQUEEEEEE!!!

An update to the above post is thus, the UK release of the DVD and Blu Ray is set for 19 November 2008 (just in time for the holiday season!) Best thing to do now is amazon and preorder, however the CD for the soundtrack is currently unavalible at this time however they do have it listen just currently not in stock at this time.
Update: Got my 2Disc SE Widescreen movie! came the monday before it was on store shelves, only thing being it sat at the post officea week because the time it arrived I was on a flight to Bejing. I got home on saterday night, so the movie sat at the post office untuil monday, on sunday I went first o Borders,trhen to another store, Borders had for the movie “Order at Info Desk only” the other stroe said “sold out, reserve your copy now!” Amazing how many people actually like the movie!
